A weekend home wasn't long enough

Hey all you blogger fans out there! I know you have been wondering why I have not written in a while. Come now you have gotta let it go a little. We have been pretty busy these past couple of weeks and I wanna make sure this post is a good one and not boring.

Mrs.B here I usually start with Mr.B or myself but I thought I would be first this time. So this past month I have been working a lot which is good. Almost everyday in fact and it was tiring I was getting so tired of working everyday that I started to get worn out and dislike my job. The one good thing is that I finally got a break. We went home to NC for a baby blessing for my brother-in-law and his wife's first baby. We were only able to go home for the weekend because I was starting school soon and we both had to work the following week so we couldn't stay for very long. The time frame we decided to go was perfect because we were there for my moms birthday!!! It was super fun. We got to meet Lyli our new niece and hang out with both families as much as we could. I took some photos of Lyli for Jon and Meghan while we were in town but I was kinda nervous because I have really only taken photos in a studio more then outside a studio. While we were down in NC I finally was able to get a real hair cut sense living out here and let me tell you it was worth the wait. My moms birthday was pretty fun we went to a car show in Raleigh which had a good amount of cars in it. I spent time with my sister one on one with Dan the first night we came in. Her kid named Skyler our other niece is only 2 years old but when I saw her for the first time sense the cruise she was HUGE!!!! When I say huge I dont mean fat or chunky I mean big like she is as big as a 4 year old. Where does she get that height?!???? We didn't want to tell many people we were in town because we really did not have time to see anyone even though we really wanted to. We got to see and old friend of ours who helped us get together in the first place Zach and it was good to see him. What a crack up. His new girlfriend was super nice and seemed really good for Zach so that was a plus. I hoping to do what most LDS women do lately hahahh is to maybe try out my photography skills outside the studio. We will see how it goes and if it takes off. This week I start school and boy am I nervous I struggle in school and I try super hard but sometimes I do not come out n top. I hope that it goes well....

Mr.B doesn't start school until next month so he can work while I start school and help me if I need it. While in NC he got to see the monkey's! That is code word for Jon's huge dogs. He loves those dogs and he hasn't seen them sense we moved to Idaho. He got out of his church clothes after the blessing and took his stance then waited for the reunion. He was so excited I think we all thought he was gonna pee his pants. They let the dogs and off they went tackling Dan left and right. They attacked him so hard they cut his lip and gave him some war wounds. In the end I think it was well worth it. The first time we got to see Lyli, Dan jumped right in to hold her and feed her the bottle. Mr.B was super excited to see his family sense again he has not seen them sense we moved. He has actually seen my family more then his own sense we moved so he was pretty excited to see them . His dad picked us up from the airport and almost squeezed his dad to death he was so excited. When we got to his house his mom said what room we were in and that the sheets were on the beds for us to make them. Little did we know she was tricking us to go upstairs and see she put chocolate on our pillows! Yummy!!! Needless to say they were excited to see us to until Mrs.B beat his dad in a game called five crowns.

Lexy while we were gone was taken care of by some really nice people in our ward. They were not able to take care of her one of the days so they were quick and smart and thought of someone and then asked us if it was okay. It is nice to have people so willing to help us out and watch our dog while we are gone and take care of her when they can't. We came home and she was so excited to see us as she always is when we leave her for a couple of days to a couple of hours. I brought back from home some things for her and I think she has another favorite toy. I get squirrel toys for Christmas as a joke. One year I got a dog toy version and I brought it back fro Lexy and she loves it!

Well that's all for now

A weekend of craziness

Hey everyone I am back! We have been busy all weekend doing things here and there and having fun....

Mrs.B here and I had a busy weekend of goals being complete and pains to get over. This past weekend I ran my first half marathon ever! It was definitely a tough challenge and Mr.B supported me all the way through and he was great at it. I had been training for a long time now and I was hoping I could make it under 2 hours. About 1/4 of the way through the race my foot acted up really bad so I was having a hard time getting through the race with my foot. I felt to get through it I had to say a little prayer which I did and it helped me get the race finished. After the race I saw some old faces that used to live back in NC that moved out to Utah. It was good to see them as they were with their chik fila stand. On our way back to the car my foot started hurting again and we are sure that it is more then likely a stress fracture but under Mr.B's orders I can't go running for a little while so that my foot can rest and it can get better. I hope that it will heal fast. Our friends watched Lexy this past weekend and she was the happiest I have ever seen in a long time when we got home. She cried and cried a ton and wouldn't stop crying it was funny but I love that dog.

Mr.B he is one great guy let me tell you! He just finished the semester while we were in Utah for his online classes. He did his best and that is all I could ever ask for. I know that no matter how well he did he did his best and that is what is best for him. He is pretty amazing he woke up with me on race day at 3:30 in the morning just to take me to the race and then stayed until it started which was at 6:00am until I crossed the finish line. What a great man he is. Sense the race like I said my foot has been hurting and if it hurts to much he does not hesitate to give me a piggy back ride to were I need to go. Sunday he wanted to go for a walk but knew it was bad for my foot so we just went outside and did sidewalk chalk together. It was a fun weekend.

On another note our long time friends sense when we first moved here moved out and went back to GA which was a sad and hard thing for all of us to understand but it was for the better for them. One day we hope to all live in the same state again and be close to each other and see their kids grow up and as well as our future kids with theirs. We will miss them but always stay in contact with them until we see them again.

Lexy is doing well we took her swimming for the first time about a week ago. I don't know if she liked it our not but we loved watching her swim. She was so cute with her paws racing to get out of the lake. She loved how the sand felt and as soon as she got out of the lake she rubbed her whole face into the sand. She ended up looking like a completely different dog after that. Needless to say she had to get a bath as soon as we got home. She is so funny she got sand every where on her little dog self. I had to use baby wipes and get most if not all of the sand out of her ears with it. But she is still the happiest and laziest dog I know.

Till next time,

School is almost out!

Hey everyone school is almost out for the semester and Mr.B will be free for a little bit. So this week's post is going to be about everything that has gone on for this past week or so....

Lets start with Mr.B because he has had so much going on this past week and what not. This past week so Mr.B got his first comedy gig!! It was awesome because he got a little experience what it is like to tell jokes in front of non-LDS people as well as doing it somewhere besides school. So it was definitely an experience that he can take with him to his next gig and what not. Anyways Mr.B has some exams this week and next week so he has been uber stressed about them and how well he is going to do on them. As always I know that he can do really good if he has faith in him and with all the studying that he does he has gotta do amazing. In a couple weeks we get to go home for Lyli's baby blessing and it is gonna be sweet to smell that NC air we are both excited to see Lyli and Mr.B's family as well as mine. Mr.B just told me while writing the blog that he got made comedy workshop manager again which is pretty awesome. He loves doing it and not only that but it will be good on a resume for other things. Mr.B this week also got to team up with his buddy from NC and be commentators for a Lacrosse game at school. They were pretty funny.

Me Mrs.B here well not much is going on with me like normal. I have been getting a couple more shifts at work which is nice because we really need it and I need it so I don't go insane for not having anything to do all day but clean things over and over each day. This past week Mr.B and I went to a stake activity and it was actually pretty dang fun. They had Farr's ice cream which is way good, free food (which is always a plus), a carousel which I took addi ( our friends kid) on and she hated it hahahh and they also had a photo both which me and Mr.B loved the most I think. We brought Lexy along which is always good because she loves to be with us and its good to socialize her because she is so shy. I get to start school soon and I am a little nervous but excited to get back into school because I wanna be successful for myself, family, and my life. Another cool thing that is happening to me in the next couple of weeks is I am taking photos for one of Mr.B's friends for her graduation! I am a little nervous because I work in a studio and not outside. I have not taken outdoor photos and tired really hard at it sense Skylers 1st birthday who is now 2 years old. Needless to say I am a little nervous but excited at the same time to see how I do and if I can do it more. Some more things that are happening to us is that our really really good friends that live next door are leaving us :( what a sad day they are moving back to the best area ever... the SOUTH!!! We are sad they are leaving next week but I know its for the better for them but it still sucks. My softball tournament was this past week and it was definitely neck and neck at the championship game. We lost 11-12 and came in second in the tournament. The bight side is that we did really well for starting off as one of the lowest seeds in the tournament.

Lexy, ohh Lexy what did she do this week besides sleep?? Well when we took her to the stake activity which she loved because she found all sorts of foods to eat off the ground. It was good for her to go because everyone and I mean everyone and their kid wanted to pet her. She is a good dog never bites, barks, and just sits there but some people don't realize when I say she is shy that she really is. People try to pet her and she always ducks and runs away to hide. The other day a kid ran at her and tried to pet her and she got really scared and kinda snapped at the kid but did not bite just opened her mouth in a sense to warn the kid. Sometimes people need to make sure it is okay for you to pet their dog. Most people ask but Lexy just kinda needs to be warned first so that she is prepared for it. Don't run at a dog or at least my dog unless you know her, please walk up to her! Any ways Lexy is just playing away with her new batman/fatman toy. She loves that toy maybe as much as her Perry the platypus toy I don't know.

Well that's it for now until next time....

4th Of July

Welcome back to the blog of blogs.... This week we will be talking about the 4th of July as we all know just passed by us like a quick day. This year is going by fast and I can't seem to stop it from slowing down just a little bit is all I ask for it to slow down. Sometimes I wish the day would go by fast but not the year. Lets get started shall we....

So I Mrs.B am excited to say this past week has been nothing but boring besides being able to hang out with friends on the 4th of July. We had a barbecue with some friends and just hung out. All the men at one point went and played tennis and me and the other girls just hung out and stayed at home with their kids. We didn't make it out to any firework displays this year though I did miss it a little bit. But as we were in the apartments we could see some from across the way being shot off. So we got a little bit of a show while they were out playing tennis. Work has been really hard lately they have not been giving me or anyone but the boss that many hours pretty much little to none for any of us. It's really hard because I like my job and want to keep it. The thing is, that if they keep doing this to me and everyone else some of us will quit and find a new place to work. Which is something I don't wanna do but if I have to do it in the end I will. I want to learn more about photography outside of the studio so I can maybe make some extra cash for us and so that I can start to feel more confident and do it on my own maybe so I can help support us while Dan is in school and while I start school in August. Besides that I don't like my photo editing system because it just doesn't do all the things I would like it to do and want a new one but don't know what kind is the best etc. Me and Mr.B tired a new place to eat the other night called the Celtic Pub, yes a pub. We didn't drink of course but they had some DANG good food if I may say so myself. They do live bands and Mr.B talked to the owner and he might be able to do his comedy there soon!!! It will be great because it will help him be versatile and preform in front of a different crowd. That will be cool. (photos below : sandwich from the pub and the cake I made for the 4th of July)

Mr.B has been working really hard lately like usual and trying to fit school all into the mix, me and the comedy workshop. He is a busy man let me tell you. This past week he got the 4th of July off so I think it was a good day for him because he just got to relax for most of the day and hang out with friends. The one down fall is even though it was he 4th of July he had to do online homework for school. Who does that?!!? I guess BYU-I does that to you. He is really trying hard to get all A's this semester which I know he can do because he is super smart and dedicated to everything he does. Even with school he always manages to have time for me and our dog Lexy who is so spoiled. I made these doughnuts this past week from pintrest called banana chocolate chip doughnuts. He loved them I made them once before and he loves them every time. It is funny we have about 3 bananas left and I had you going to eat those? He responded no I thought you could make those doughnuts again. Ohh I love that he will eat anything I make. Something cool happened to Mr.B and I this month we both became Aunts and Uncles again. His sister in law had the baby! Her name is Lyli!!! The reason I said again is because this is Mr.B's first blood niece as he likes to say because my sister already has a kid Skyler. So air go we are Aunt's & Uncle's again. We are hoping to go down for the baby blessing as Mr.B promised his brother we would which is fine be me because we miss the NC air and food.(photos below: Niece Lyli and sparklers on the 4th of July)

Lexy is doing well. This past week she got spoiled a little we took her to the grooming salon and go her teeth brushed and her nails clipped. PetSmart was having these toys on sale that are DC and Marvel comic book toys and Mr.B was excited. So I asked him which one we should get her and he said batman like mother like daughter lol. So I picked up this fat round batman toy and got it for her hopping she would like it, because she doesn't like many toys. I brought her home and tired playing with her with it and she loved it!!! I was so happy I picked out the right toy because she is not a toy dog. Lexy is starting to get along more and more with our neighbors dog but she likes to be a tease too by letting him sniff her then get mad at him if he tries to play. It is pretty funny when she does it, but annoying because she gets annoyed when the other dog won't leave her along. We took Lexy to a play group this past week because someone invited us to it and she did not like it at all! But I am hoping in time she will be better because she needs to be more social with other dogs so that if we get one in the future she will be fine.

Shout out to my brother Brandon Happy birthday this past week and thanks for choosing to serve our country~love yea!

Well thats all for now Mr.& Mrs.Buzzy B out....

My Great Grandpa

So readers I decided not to do an intro this week as this blog is for my Great Grandpa who I recently said had passed away.

First off lets start off just saying my memories of my Great Grandpa were sure some good ones every time we would come visit Idaho to see my Grandparents they Great Grandparents would set up their motor-home and park it outside my Grandma and Grandpas house and would be there all summer until we left. My Great Grandparents live in Vegas so because there was more of us then them they would come to us in Idaho to see us. My Great Grandpa was obsessed with golfing I am not going to lie before we even all got up from our deep sleep he would be at the golf course with who knows who! But from what I have heard he loved it out there and would play as many holes that he could on that course. One of my favorite memories of my Great Grandpa is when I was a little younger I was in love with fruit and still am I had a whole batch of cherries and was just shoving them away to who knows where and my Great Grandpa just let me sit on his lap and did not care if I got it on him he just loved me sitting on his lap. He had some pretty good hugs if I may say so myself he would hug you so hard like he had not seen you in 10 years but those are the best kinds of hugs the ones you don't forget. He made you laugh and made you smile. I had a great laugh and his smile was super cute for an old guy too. I love my Great Grandpa and sad that he passed away but being a member of the church I know that one day I will see him again.

LDS Song makes me think of how lucky I am to be a member of our church. Below is the primary song "Families can be together forever" :(only one verse)

Families Can Be Together Forever

I have a fam’ly here on earth.
They are so good to me.
I want to share my life with them through all eternity.
Chorus:
Fam’lies can be together forever
Through Heav’nly Father’s plan.
I always want to be with my own family,
And the Lord has shown me how I can.
The Lord has shown me how I can.

Father's Day

As we all know it is fathers day and we most talk all about our fathers and why they are the best you know?!! So I am not going to blab and blab. Lets get to it!

Mrs.B here talking about my dad and why he is the best dad ever even if the days were hard to deal with me he managed to stay pretty dang awesome. My dad growing up and still to this dad is a hard worker and always has been he has taught me the value of working hard and working hard for your money. One thing I learned from my dad is that you need to use money wisely as most dads or parents say " it doesn't grow on trees you know!" my dad would teach me that constantly. As the hot summer days would come and come I would sometimes want a drink from the vending machine and would go ask my dad for a $1 he then would either give it to me or say no you have money. Sometimes I did have money and sometimes I did't so it made me think out why I really wanted that soda and so know when I make other purchases I tell myself why do I need that? And end up walking out the store empty handed. So I defiantly learned that from my dad. One funny thing that people don't know most about my dad is that he can teach you being a kid at heart is fun and what do I mean by that is that it is okay to watch movies like Mulan and Finding Nemo in secret (love you dad) and it makes you feel young or just because you like the movie I think it can make you feel like a kid again. My dad always said I was a true charmer by that is sometimes I would make farting noises with my mouth or dance in stupid ways and he would just look at me shake his head and always told me the truth straight on. If a kid is reading this with you turn away..... growing up I always believed in Santa like most kids do and I always wrote to him every year and when I mean every year that includes this past year I emailed him. I would write him and leave cookies and my dad I mean "Santa" would always respond. Me and my dad have a special bond with something called a buzzy bee growing up he would make a buzzing sound and then act like he didn't do it and tickle me without me knowing it and that is were the Buzzy B's name of this blog comes from at the end of each post. He just always made sure we would laugh when it was time to laugh and have those serious talks with me when he felt I needed him. If I ever needed a real big hug from him I could get one anytime I wanted and it is the best thing ever! Thanks dad for all the memories you leave me with and continue to each day of my life!

I will always admire my dad, Mr. William Henry Brixius. My dad is an inspiration to me and a role model. It is because of my dad that I have decided to pursue a Master's Degree and will soon be applying to grad schools. My dad is the only person on both sides of our family to have not only a Bachelor's degree, but a Master's degree as well. The thing I admire the most about my dad is the time he spent with our family. He is a busy, working man and often had not enough time in the day to do everything he needed to do. Even though he was often heavy laden with work, church callings, and other things, we would always go on a vacation somewhere in the summer. I have seen most of the United States because of our family vacations. The road trips were boring but now I find it is something I miss. We always went somewhere with history, or he would make sure we got to go see history. Whether it was a bus trip to DC to see all the monuments or a road trip to the Grand Canyon, I will always cherish those memories.

Many people are intimidated of my dad. I am not sure why. He is one of the funniest people I know. His jokes may be corny but his mannerisms and his reactions to things make him hilarious. Don't ever beat him in a game of cards though- he is the sorest loser you would ever play with. He won't even let you see the score! (Because he HAS to be the score keeper.) Yet if he wins, then everyone in the world has to know it! Happy Father's day, dad!

And a quick last but not least Mr.B he is a father in a way we could say he lovs our little girl of a dog named Lexy! Some days I feel like Lexy loves him more then she loves me. Mr.B takes great care of her and loves her to death even when he doesn't want to admit it. I know that one day he will make a great father to our future kids because of the examples his family has taught him!

Thats all for now Buzzy B's Out
