Father's Day

As we all know it is fathers day and we most talk all about our fathers and why they are the best you know?!! So I am not going to blab and blab. Lets get to it!

Mrs.B here talking about my dad and why he is the best dad ever even if the days were hard to deal with me he managed to stay pretty dang awesome. My dad growing up and still to this dad is a hard worker and always has been he has taught me the value of working hard and working hard for your money. One thing I learned from my dad is that you need to use money wisely as most dads or parents say " it doesn't grow on trees you know!" my dad would teach me that constantly. As the hot summer days would come and come I would sometimes want a drink from the vending machine and would go ask my dad for a $1 he then would either give it to me or say no you have money. Sometimes I did have money and sometimes I did't so it made me think out why I really wanted that soda and so know when I make other purchases I tell myself why do I need that? And end up walking out the store empty handed. So I defiantly learned that from my dad. One funny thing that people don't know most about my dad is that he can teach you being a kid at heart is fun and what do I mean by that is that it is okay to watch movies like Mulan and Finding Nemo in secret (love you dad) and it makes you feel young or just because you like the movie I think it can make you feel like a kid again. My dad always said I was a true charmer by that is sometimes I would make farting noises with my mouth or dance in stupid ways and he would just look at me shake his head and always told me the truth straight on. If a kid is reading this with you turn away..... growing up I always believed in Santa like most kids do and I always wrote to him every year and when I mean every year that includes this past year I emailed him. I would write him and leave cookies and my dad I mean "Santa" would always respond. Me and my dad have a special bond with something called a buzzy bee growing up he would make a buzzing sound and then act like he didn't do it and tickle me without me knowing it and that is were the Buzzy B's name of this blog comes from at the end of each post. He just always made sure we would laugh when it was time to laugh and have those serious talks with me when he felt I needed him. If I ever needed a real big hug from him I could get one anytime I wanted and it is the best thing ever! Thanks dad for all the memories you leave me with and continue to each day of my life!

I will always admire my dad, Mr. William Henry Brixius. My dad is an inspiration to me and a role model. It is because of my dad that I have decided to pursue a Master's Degree and will soon be applying to grad schools. My dad is the only person on both sides of our family to have not only a Bachelor's degree, but a Master's degree as well. The thing I admire the most about my dad is the time he spent with our family. He is a busy, working man and often had not enough time in the day to do everything he needed to do. Even though he was often heavy laden with work, church callings, and other things, we would always go on a vacation somewhere in the summer. I have seen most of the United States because of our family vacations. The road trips were boring but now I find it is something I miss. We always went somewhere with history, or he would make sure we got to go see history. Whether it was a bus trip to DC to see all the monuments or a road trip to the Grand Canyon, I will always cherish those memories.

Many people are intimidated of my dad. I am not sure why. He is one of the funniest people I know. His jokes may be corny but his mannerisms and his reactions to things make him hilarious. Don't ever beat him in a game of cards though- he is the sorest loser you would ever play with. He won't even let you see the score! (Because he HAS to be the score keeper.) Yet if he wins, then everyone in the world has to know it! Happy Father's day, dad!

And a quick last but not least Mr.B he is a father in a way we could say he lovs our little girl of a dog named Lexy! Some days I feel like Lexy loves him more then she loves me. Mr.B takes great care of her and loves her to death even when he doesn't want to admit it. I know that one day he will make a great father to our future kids because of the examples his family has taught him!

Stolen phone,Lexy's twin and more oh my?!?!?

So I started to write this blog and I was all the way through my stories for these past two weeks and it just up and erased some how?? Weird right?!!? I think so... Anyways I know I have not posted for about two weeks and you are crying your eyes out waiting for my new post so I figured it was time to do so just for the fans. Its crazy I know people love my blog so much that I sign autographs... wait not really but that would be pretty cool/funny.

Anyways lets get this show on the road! Me,Mrs.B here and boy oh boy do I have a great story for you this week. Well as normal I have been working a lot and going for long runs a lot lately training for the big day. I can't wait for it to come up I might even need new shoes for it. My mom got into town this past week and I love it I am not going to post much about it this time because she just got here and I still have photos to take while she is here before I talk about her visit and such. Well anyways the biggest thing that has happened to me this past week is while on my way to work one morning while filling up at a local gas station someone stole my Iphone!!!! I couldn't believe it. I called Dan and asked him to go check the gas station and he did and nothing had been turned in. We both have an app on our phones called find my Iphone and it works amazing have used it once before. We found that someone had stolen my phone and taken it all the way to Logan,Utah. Dan called the local authorities to tell them what had happened sense I was at work. Long story short on that part they didn't really care and told us to erase my phone because I would never see it again even though Dan had a location on this app. Nothing got done about my phone so Dan and I decided by Saturday we would call the local police in Logan,Utah who I talked to an Officer who was very kind and helpful. I told him everything and told him I knew where my phone was located and what not and he got it from the man who stole it. My mom who flew in that day from SLC picked it up from the police and brought it back home for me. It is crazy that an app like that is more of a help then a local police officer who seemed to not care about getting your stuff back to you. I know if I was that officer I would do what I could because it is someones property and someones life and information on a phone none the less before saying you won't see that phone again. So that was a short version hope that was a fun story for you. I am not a big crafty person but I did a craft from pintrest this week, I think it didn't turn out half bad?!?! One more thing im playing softball with Logan again Dan's friend from back home and we won a game last week!

Mr.B has been working hard at school and work as always. He is even preparing for another show at the school which from some of the jokes he tells me are pretty dang funny. I can't wait to hear them. He and some of his comedy workshop friends are gonna perform for the first time outside of the school at a well known sandwich shop out here soon called Sammy's. Mr.B has midterms coming up sometime soon and is studying so hard that sometimes when I come into the room I think I smell bacon from how hard he is staring at the pages and the screen on his laptop to prepare for all his test. But the bacon smell pays off every single time. Why do you ask because he does the best he can and he makes good grades even though he doesn't think so I think he does a amazing job a school and I don't know how he balances it all. Mr.B is so stoked for this new superman movie "Man of Steel" that he talks about it as if he has already seen the movie. He feels that this will bring the super hero Superman back on top! Even though I know that Batman will always be number 1.

Lexy is doing well. I love that dog so much. It was so funny today I don't always get to take her on walks but when I do she loves them. For some reason today I was like Lexy do you wanna go for a walk? She got all excited and I decided to talk her for a walk. On the walk we saw a small dog and it was..... I am not kidding you LEXY'S TWIN!!!! It was just like Lexy I couldn't believe it and either could they. We let them play for a little bit which is funny cause Lexy doesn't really play with other dogs but she did right away with this one. And it was just like her just a slight bit smaller, so I think that dog had more chihuahua in him then jack russel. It was just all out cool for both me and the other owners of the other dog whose name was Thor. Lexy got to see my mom today and couldn't stop sniffing her to death and snuggling her it was pretty sweet. I could tell she missed my mom just like me. But I know if she saw my brother or dad she would be super stoked just like me. Do you want some fun with your dog? Draw eyeliner eyebrows on them and laugh away :).....

Well, that's all for now until next time....

Family Ties

Well first off let me start off by saying that my last post about my anniversary and stating that it is on May 5th is wrong I tried to correct it but it wont fix it just yet. I hope that I get to fix it again tonight and that it sticks to the edit this time and it doesn't mess up. Anyways lets get started.( Me and Addi at church while mike and beth are teaching. And Then someone drove a four wheeler to church epic! )

Well this past weekend I got to see my family from Utah. My aunt was in town with most of her family. It was fun we had a lot of fun. We played basketball and messed around and had a good amount of laughs. My grandpa cooked on the grill and my grandma and others set up the food and made some amazing food and what not. We ended by playing a card game we call hand and foot which I haven't played sense I was in my late teens. I worked a lot this past week which was good because I needed the hours and the more experience the better I feel like. Anyways this past week I had a customer who was just a little crazy and what I mean by that is that she just was never happy no matter what I did. No matter how well I thought the photos went and no matter how hard I tried to connect with her kids to make them more happy for the photos it didn't matter. I talked to my sister this past week and she asked me about my blog and that she had been hearing a lot about it which made me feel good like people are actually reading my blog. I feel like my blog means nothing sometimes but just things of rambles and that it just is something that is something of nothing. But I am glad people are reading it. This weekend a sad but a good day did come by.... My great grandpa passed away he was a great man. I remember as a kid during the summers in Idaho sitting on his lap eating cherry's. He never cared how messy I got but all he did was smile and huge tight. I will miss him but I am glad he is with our father in heaven now.

Mr.B has been busy a lot at work and school. He works so hard that he puts himself to sleep right when he gets home sometimes. It is sad that he works so hard but I know that in the end it will be all worth it for him and for our future family. He is working hard and doing his best and I am so happy that he does what he does for him to be preparing for our family some day. He is really into magic the card game right now and he plays a lot with our friends sometimes he plays so much that he loses track of time hahahha. Mr.B and I been watching how I met your mother a lot lately I think that I am more addicted to the show then he is but it is a show we watch together a lot. Poor Mr.B tries so hard at school and work that I think he over thinks and he needs a brake from it all. (Pictures below are of dan and our neighbors daughter Addi)

Lexy, has been doing well but she isn't sure about her new friend Steele our neighbors new dog. He is a Huskie and a very pretty one at that. We are trying something new where we hold her and just let her get close to him little by little. She needs to learn that other dogs are okay too. And that other dogs then the ones she does like are nice too. I love Lexy but sometimes she has her moments where she wants to be friends with other dogs then randomly she isn't so sure anymore.

I know today's blog is kinda random and really boring I am sorry but this is all I got today.

Happy Anniversary

Hello everyone! It's that time again for an update. And this time its all about this past year and all of what we have accomplished and all of the things we have done and learned over our first year of marriage. So let the adventures being.....

Mr.B and I meet back home in North Carolina and became friends for a good while before we started dating. We meet through mutual friends and the missionaries out of all people which is funny because I never spoke to those missionaries over that ward. I planned on going on a mission way before we started hanging out and dating. We ended up dating and I received my mission call to San Jose, California and left for my mission in April of 2011 while Mr.B was off at school in Nebraska. We wrote back and forth for a good while until I felt the need to come home and marry my now husband. We got married on May 12th,2012 and a year later we are here in Idaho waiting for Dan to finish school, me to start some of my schooling and then see where our next adventure takes us. Now that the little history lesson is over for how we meet and what we kinda went through before we got married lets move on.

This past year we have done many things and learned many things about each other. We spent our honeymoon in Cozumel, Mexico. We traveled to Salt Lake City,Utah this past year for the lights on temple square which neither of us had ever seen but we both enjoyed it. We saw all the lights listened to Christmas music in the pretty buildings on temple square. We shared a Rocky Mountain Chocolate apple which is one of my favorite things but we don't have one here in Idaho. We also visited St. Louis over our first summer being married as we worked there for a dish/direct company. While working there over the summer we visited the St. Louis Arch as well as the St. Louis Zoo which we loved so much. We plan to go many other places here and there while we grow with each other and grow in our marriage. We also had the privilege of going on a cruise with my family to the Caribbean where we traveled to many sites and spent time with family and just had a great time.

As for what we have learned while being married I feel we have learned to compromise and learn where we stand on things and where we have to grow still as we will forever be growing together. We have learned that through trails we can get though anything together as long as we can help one another. As I lost my job at one point Mr.B helped me through it like a champ and continues to help me through all the trails and hard times I go though and I am grateful to see his strength to hold me strong. Mr.B is my rock and he shows me how hard work and dedication pays off with all the work he does with school and being a husband and I guess in a way a father to our dog Lexy. It's crazy to see how much we have grown as a couple to see how much we have grown together and learned from each other but we continue to learn each and everyday about one another and how we can improve on all things and be better in all ways.

Dan and I both had to work on our date to celebrate our anniversary so we had to make it the best we could. I went and got us a table at an Italian place and waited for Mr.B to get there before we started to order. Once he got there it was a little late and we had a good time ate and laughed. Once we finished eating it was a little to late fr a movie so we headed to target for some fun just walking around as we made fun of things in the store. Just like we used to do when we were dating. We headed home and called it in for the night. I walked into the apartment to find some of the most delicious chocolate covered strawberries I have ever tasted and a bouquet of sunflowers (which are my fave). I gave him his ring which I got engraved for him which says inside "can I keep you" 5/12/12 which is something he said to me while we were dating and our wedding date engraved. I also got him a photo of our wedding song with one of our wedding pictures on it. It was pretty epic. It was a long day but we did our best to make it our anniversary day even when we both had to work.

Mothers Day

Yes I know we have all read and heard a little about everyone mother today and their mothers mothers etc. Sometimes we need to stop and think about why we love our mothers and what they did for us. This blog post goes out to all the mothers out there and thanking them for everything they have done for us. So nothing about me and Mr.B this time around its all about the moms!

My mom... Well my mom is a special lady to me as all moms are to them. My mom is very special to me because she never gave up on me even when I was wrong and true fully awful to her. My mom is a strong women in everything she does and believes in. She knows what is right and she knows how to stand strong for me and my family. She stands strong next to my dad when he needs it and by me when I need it. Growing up my mom had to put up with me in my tomboy ways and did so with stride. She always taught me that I am my own person and that she loved me no matter what. To me my mom is a superhero in all sorts of ways. She stood up and fought the boo boos that hurt so bad. She helped me pick myself back up when I was down from all the hurt I got from the bullies from school. One thing I always will remember and hope one day to instill in my future kids that my mom did to me is.. When it was my birthday no matter how old I was and no matter what day it was my mom would come to my school and take me out to lunch or bring me my favorite lunch. Every school year growing up my mom took a photo of me going to school with my best friend at the time and it was always a pain but now I have those memories with that friend forever. My mom made my wedding day the best day of my life and she planned it so well and made sure it looked amazing even though she was a busy as could be. Growing up I did not always get a long with my mom and I know she didn't deserve the things and the way I treated her in my bad times but she still loved me through it all and I find that I hope to have that same strength someday in myself for my future children. My mom is a true blessing to me in my life because even to this day my mom calls me out of the blue just to say hi and ask me how I am and what I am doing. She still stays strong and carries on to help me and all my other siblings along in all that we do no matter how old we are. I love my mom and always will even if I get mad at her she is my mom and she is the best mom I could have ever asked for.One more thing about my mom and then I will stop because I don't want to over kill you with why my mom is amazing to me, she always supported me no matter what. In all sports in all school activities etc. And she made sure I could cook food before I got married so that I knew what I was doing even though I wish I could cook as good as her. So thank you mom for all of that and more! Love you!

Written by Mr.B himself:
My mom has been such a blessing in my life. I guess you really don't know all the effort and sacrifice a mom has done for you until you are an adult yourself. I love and appreciate my mom because she gave up a career to raise my brother and I. She made an effort to come to all my sports events. She wrote to me every week while I was on my mission and wrote more length wise than anyone else in my family (letters? these were epistles!) My mom is one of the most selfless people I know and she always gives of herself to help others and take care of their needs. She really tried to involve herself in my life growing up as a kid, even though it got rather annoying. I guess one of the things I will always remember is car rides growing up. Until I got my license she shuttled me to all my sports practices and band practices and everything and we always seemed to have a funny conversations. We would always joke that the conversations between my dad and my brother must have been boring. I spent lots of time with my mom going to and coming from different activities and the talk and the jokes were a lot of fun.

Thats all for this time!

Mr&Mrs. Buzzy B Out!!!

P.S. Tune in next week as today was our anniversary!!! So next week I will talk about our anniversary :)

Have a Happy Mothers Day and don't forget to thank your mother/Mother-law/Step mom etc. What ever you have for all they do and did for you!
