Remy Turns the big ONE!!!

It has been a little while since I posted so sorry about that but I have been pretty busy with this now toddler in the house. This post is all Remy and a little lexy but thats about it.

Well Remy has turned 1 and I am one sad and proud mom that we were able to keep him alive that long and that he has still loved us that long as well. He is growing so fast and it never stops. He is always learning and teaching us to be better people and parents. For his birthday he got really lucky and his grandparents came to visit him all the way from NC. It is a 13 hour drive give or take on how often you stop for the bathroom, food and gas. Remy is loved by everyone he meets, whenever I am at the store he is always smiling at everyone that walks by and laughing so people always stop and say what a happy boy you have! I always respond I am so lucky that he is always happy (for most of the day). Remy has turned one and things have already changed, he used to eat everything and anything that we put in front of him and now he just kinda looks at it, takes a bite or two then puts it down to say he is done and wants something else. He is been taken off the pacifier for about 2 days now and is really struggling with that. Some days are okay and some days are a melt down kind of day but I know its for the best. I (no judgement) just know that the earlier I take it away the better. For his birthday we did a little gentlemen themed party of black and red because to us his favorite color is in fact red. The reason we know this is that he loves to collect those "itty bitties" from hallmark and 9x out of 10 he picks a red one and we have to restart his picking process because he picks a lot of the same ones that he already has that are red. Remy came into this world on June 20, 2014 and changed my view on life in a different way and it is the best view I could ever imagine. He was born at 3:30 pm and came into the world quick and easy. He may struggle and test me most days but it is a test worth having as I couldn't ask for anything better in a little boy. On his birthday Remy made it out like a mad house from all the love from friends and family who came to his party and we could not have asked for anything better from our friends and family who support the love of our little man.

When Remy was born I could remember looking at him as they handed him to me in the hospital is, that he was "soooo cute" I couldn't stop saying it over and over and over again. I always look back to that day how he made the whole 9 month thing nothing, that it was all worth it just to hold this little boy in my arms and to watch Dan go from a great husband to an amazing father. Dan always loved to let him sleep on his chest it was their true bonding time. When ever I needed Remy to fall asleep I could always count of Dan to lay him on his chest in hopes that Remy would fall asleep just so that Dan would be able to as well.

Lexy is doing well, her and Remy's bond grows each day little by little but it does grow. Lexy is the best dog for any age of kids she just takes it all in no matter what they do to her she will take the tackles, the hitting, the droll, and of course the free food scrapes that he toss her way. But their bond truly is like no other. I will bring Remy into the room where she is and say is that lexy? To which he always responds with a smile and giggle. I will put Remy on the ground and he will crawl as fast as he can to her bed only to just lay his head on her. It is the sweetest thing you have ever seen.
