Little this little that

Welcome back to the blog of blogs!!!

Well this week has been a little busy but sometimes not so busy at the same time. We got a lot of snow and had a friend over for her birthday were I made her dinner and a cake for her birthday. We got a lot of snow and had worked a lot lately.So lets get started shall we.......

Well, this week with me (Mrs.B) I worked all week and went grocery shopping as well sounds boring doesn't it grocery shopping not this time. Why do you ask well its because I got a fun new shirt! If you know me I love dogs especially my dog but there is one kind of dog that i do love a lot and it is PUGS!!! So Mr.B told me to get that shirt a shirt with the face of a pug! On my mission well mini mission is what my dad likes to call it :) for the LDS church a member would wear shirts like that all the time and I always thought they were something of an odd kind of style but this time I had to agree with his style. So I got the shirt and I love it and think it is one of the funniest shirts I have ever owned. Some people may think it is ugly some may think I am weird but I really don't care because I like the shirt and I find it funny. Some other things happened this week with us like I have been in a really big mood for baking. I really like to cook and bake goods and what not so this week I put up an attempt at making pretzels! How did they turn out? They weren't to bad. I do wish I used sea salt and not regular salt. I used a recipe from pinterest. For those of you that know me know I love pinterest like most girls do but I make a lot of recipes from pinterest. Dan and our neighbor Beth thought they weren't to bad. I worked a lot this week and I was working the late shifts for the job I have I never knew that shoveling snow would be in the description. I don't mind shoveling snow at all it keeps me awake and alert more which is nice. But man did it snow this past week about 12 inches or more. According to people around here that is nothing and that it only is a little snow compared to what kind of snow they are used to.

Mr.B has been working his butt off this week with school and work. Sometimes I would come home and he would be asleep on he couch passed out from being so tired from everything. He does so much school full time, works part-time and he also goes to the fire academy. The thing that I am sure tires him the most is keeping me happy and keeping me from losing my mind of my days off. Mr.B has been trying his butt off at staying in shape lately and he is really doing a good job he even has had to get new pants! I am so proud of him and what he has accomplished so far. We recently had our friend over for dinner and he was super nice and picked her up for me so that she could come over for dinner. We love our friend she is so great and funny. Mr.B has been friends with her for years were I have only recently sense a couple years ago have been friends with her. We had her over as I said earlier for dinner and Mr.B and I sang happy birthday to her and had a little celebration birthday dinner with her. Even when MR.B is busy he always finds time to make those that mean more to him happy.

Lexy is doing well as always. She has been sleeping a lot lately and keeping Mr.B company when I have to work super late and can't make it home for the night time. She gives the best snuggles when I'm sleeping alone during the day. It was really funny to see her more then ever with the snow this time while she was running around and playing in the snow. Lexy is small in height and so because we had so much snow when I had her go out I could barley see her over the snow. Instead of playing wheres Waldo? I played where is Lexy? Lexy is a pretty good dog she doesn't really ever bark only when some rings the doorbell or knocks but even then she barley barks. Some say she isn't that much of a watch dog but I think differently. When she senses something she gets a mo-hawk on her back and walks around and growls and continues to walk around which makes me alert more. Lexy learned a new trick last week! We taught her to roll over on demand. We were pretty excited. She knows how excited we get when she does it that,that is all she does now. She also got a new food bowl because she has been eating way to fast that she makes herself choke on her food. Mr.B suggested we get a slow feeder bowl which I never heard about. Well,this week has been fun filled and next week will just be as fun! More to come about what has happened over the week and what not. Hope you enjoyed this weeks update. Well welcome back to my blog! If your back you care to even look and you think it was funny or weird enough to come back for more!!! WOOT WOOT!! So on to this week what happened this week lots of things happened for starters I worked 5 12hr shifts straight in a row. I babysat a couple times this week on my days off it was fun because the kid I babysat is way cute and super easy to take care of. Sooo off to the fun exciting stuff you ready because its that exciting!!!


This week like I said I worked 5 days straight 12 hours each day everyday was different as always something happens weather it be exciting or weird I always find work fun and enjoyable. When day 4 came around which usually is our last day of rotation I am ready to get off for my days off but sense we had one more day to go I had to hold it down and go one more day. Day 5 it was a long and dreadful day not so much that work was bad at all, because it wasn't, its just one of those things were your used to getting off 4 days and when that one extra day comes into play it makes it hard to stay awake and alive but look I'm typing this so that would have to mean I made it through the day. Unless...... Mr.B is writing this for me ?!?!?!? No worries he isn't I am still alive and lovin my job. On the last day of rotation at work my boss made me feel really good. As we are leaving our shift for our set of days off he says to me "Mrs.B" "yeah?" "I am really glad your on my shift and not someone else" that made me feel like either I add fun to the crew or just anything else. But in the end I'm glad he said that.

Babysitting this week was pretty fun. I babysat our neighbors kid she is so fun and cute. She is about 1 year old and super easy makes it easier not to miss my niece from back home. Whenever I go over there I bring Lexy with me so that she is not alone at home because when I am at work all day I miss her and I think she misses me plus she is really good with kids. Adelaide is this cute babies name and she is a crawler let me tell you! So whenever she wants to crawl around the house I just follow her and crawl right behind her. I think she finds it funny because she always gets a little smile one her face and laughs and crawls faster. She loves to play with Lexy to, which is good because it will just prepare Lexy for when Mr.B & I have kids sometime in the future.

Mr.B this week has been really busy with lots and lots of work and school and more school. Right now he is in the fire academy a long with being a full time student at BYU-I. His recent adventures with me haven't been so exciting sense I have been working so much lately but he always makes time for me as I do him. He took me out on a date this past week and we went to Texas Roadhouse which was delicious on all accounts! He has decided that we will be going there for all date nights from now on even though we both go back and forth on choosing who gets to pick were we get to go. Another thing Mr.B did for me this week was find some where close that still had 'Pitch Perfect" in the Redbox for us to rent because I have been wanting to watch again sense seeing it my Aunt Kristie's house.

A couple more things have happened this week that have made this blog. We have new neighbors upstairs that moved in about 2ish weeks ago. They are really really loud! Weather it is walking up the stairs to their apartment or stomping around in their apartment. Even them talking outside coming up the stairs is loud. So apparently everything they pretty much do is loud. So we thought of some ideas with our friends who are also our neighbors (which are annoyed by their stomping up and down the stairs). We both decided it was time to post signs about being lighter on their feet coming up and down the stairs to their apartment. It worked....... at first now they just walk lightly up the first flight of stairs and stomp the rest of the way up. They sometimes are so loud in their apartment they shake our ceiling fan! Mr.B finally let me go up their and talk to them even though I really wanted to yell at them about how loud they are being and that they need to know about it. So I went up and talked not yelled :( about and it worked!!!! Wait did it?!?! Yeap for 10 minutes. It is going to be a long year......

My first blog..

Hey Guys, It might be a boring weird, sounding blog due to the fact that I don't write very well and our days consist of a lot of random stuff. So let me start off with who we are. We are the Brixius's. That sounds funny..... but we meet about 2 1/2 years ago and we got married and moved to Rexburg,ID so that Dan could go to school out here. We have a little white dog named Lexy she is some kind of funny.

Lets start off with Lexy. She is 4 years old this year I got her a long time ago from a old friend for my birthday and she has been with me ever since- through everything. She is the best snuggler ever! Well besides Dan (Mr.Brixius aka Mr.B.) But she makes for a good house dog she sleeps all day and is one of the laziest Jack Russel/chihuahua mix of a dog you would ever meet. You would never guess she was part Jack Russel. She is some kind of funny she loves the laser pointer so much when ever we barely touch the laser pointer her ears perk up and she starts wining and stares at you until you pick it up and play with her. Lexy is pretty much to me the best dog in the world.

Dan is working hard or hardly working as much as he can. He goes to school, works, and goes to the fire academy. Man, he is such a great husband he does all he can to do everything he can to make the best of it all. I met him back home in North Carolina where we both are from through some mutual friends and we became friends. And then after being friends for so long we started dating. Dan would come visit me at work which, keep in mind was a 40 min. drive from his area of NC to mine. He would just come to my work to say hi and even sometimes bring me apple juice which is my favorite drink of all time and gummy bears. He would do all these little things and made me feel really special. After some time he had to leave for school in Nebraska. For about 6 months we skyped every night and talked all the time we kept dating and i even went to visit him. Shortly after my visit I knew I wanted to marry that man but never really said anything. He was coming back in about 2 months but when he came back from school I was already gone. Where did I go? An LDS mission. It was another test of our love (yes mushy gushy get over it!!!) but i came back after 4 months to get married after we wrote each other every week sometimes twice a week. All in all Dan does so much for me and he always does surprise me to this day even with little notes on the door when i come home late at night from work.

Now onto boring ole me! I work full time out here in Rexburg for the county and love my job. For the reasons of my job i dont wanna go blabbering about what I do. All i will say is I love my job and hope to move up and am glad I finally got my foot in the door. While on my days off I try to cook some foods like braided bread, stuffed bell peppers and some fun cookies. I love it out here in Rexburg, we have made some pretty good friends who are so fun and they have a pretty darn cute kid! I love it that i can go about 30 minutes out and see my grandparents. Its nice to be away from home and start our own life together and learn about tough things on our own.
